Description

This beautiful trio of galaxies is composed of  the edge-on spiral NGC 5981, the elliptical NGC 5982 and the face-on spiral  NGC 5985.Although not technically cataloged as a compact galaxy group, the three galaxies all lie 100 million light-years away in the constellation of Draco.
IFN are visible in this area, but not often seen because very much fainter than in other parts of the Draco constellation.
There are also many other galaxies in this field.
